Night Light

Sorry about the lateness of this post.  I realize I’ve already broken my “once a week” goal.  That being said, cut me some slack.  I’m from America, and we celebrated Thanksgiving this week, which seriously cut into my leisure time…yes…a holiday about leisure cut into my leisure time.  Don’t ask.

Anyway, I have started to work on three or four different pieces of writing, but nothing’s come to fruition yet.  Just a couple first lines, sadly.  So today’s post is an older picture that I’ve toyed around with in PhotoShop ’til I got something I liked.  Hope you enjoy it.

This image was taken in Baton Rouge, LA.  It’s an extended exposure of first a series of street lights and shop signs followed by a graffiti wall that the city put up.  Hope you like it.  I’m going to try and post again later in the week so I can average one post a week.  Hope you’re all enjoying the post-holiday food-comas.

Night Photography

I suffer from mild insomnia.  Some would say this is a bit of an understatement, but, whatever.  A lot of my work will probably be posted, if not created, at obscene hours of the night when I can’t sleep.  Consider this the beginning of a pattern.

One of the things I do when I can’t sleep is walk.  Sometimes I take my camera.  This was one of the products of tonight’s walk.

This is another.  It appears we have a “V for Vendetta” fan.

I walk by holly trees a lot and I’ve been meaning to take pictures of them.  I tried to pull some of the yellow from the street lights out of this picture, but I didn’t manage to get all of them.

Comments and criticism (especially the latter) welcomed.
